My main experience over the past eight years
has been
My SQL Data Browser.
(msdb is open source software hosted at sourceforge.net)
It is a a third generation re-incarnation of a
large programs lbrary that has been growing and travelling with me,
from one programming language to the next,
from one company to the next,
and from one country to the next,
since 1991.
Its first incarnation was called Software Engine
and was first released by my company at the time,
called Software Engines.
It was originally written in
C,
and more then 1000 copies were licensed to
Ericsson Telecommunications in
Italy during the 1990s.
Several
Wall Street Firms,
where my previous experience presented some opportunities,
also licensed the product and received some services.
Software Engine was used to create the first E-Commerse
shopping cart WEB site for
J.crew,
with the services of the company,
to a large extent my personal effort and resources.
This was before J.Crew was aquired by
The Texas Pacific Group.
MySQL data browser is now written in
PHP,
the
Smarty presentation Language,
and dynamics are written in
JavaScript.
It is an agile library of programs
that enables rapid prototyping while creating
long term infrastructure.
